Environmental pollution refers to the introduction of harmful pollutants into the natural environment, which can cause adverse effects on living organisms and their surroundings.
Air pollution
This includes the release of harmful gases, particulate matter, and chemicals into the atmosphere. Common air pollutants include carbon monoxide (CO), sulfur dioxide (SO2), nitrogen oxides (NOx), volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and particulate matter (PM). Air pollution can lead to respiratory diseases, smog formation, and climate change.
